Who We Are

Saint Augustine School Alumni International (SAS Ai) is a non-profit corporation registered in the state of Florida. We are recognized by the IRS as a public charity 501(c)(3) organization. Your donations or gifts toward the SAS Ai Scholarship Fund are tax deductible.

Our mission is to help bright, promising and serious sixth graders who come from poor families get a good high school education at St Augustine School (SAS) by sponsoring them for the full four years of high school.

Each school year we recruit, process and qualify a total of 12 scholars. We comb the public schools in Tagudin, going as far north as Sagat in Santa Cruz, or as far south as Sudipen, La Union and Bangar, La Union to find these bright kids whose families are way too poor to send them to private school.

To date we have a total of 9 sophomores who began in 2010, 9 freshmen who began in 2011, 3 senior high school students who will be graduating this year, and 3 senior high school students who graduated in 2010.

We solicit scholarship funds from generous individuals, from SAS alumni, Batch groups, or major corporations. We are continually trying to raise scholarship funds and because we are a non-profit organization, funds are never kept in the books. Rather funds are disbursed to pay for tuition, books, school supplies, uniforms, shoes, socks, athletic gear, Internet access, USB storage units and other expenses.

None of us who work here at SAS Ai, Inc. get paid. We are all volunteers giving freely off of our own personal resources, time, effort, and talent toward the accomplishment of SAS Ai's mission.

We are very proud of our scholarship program, the management of it, and the representation of it  by our locally based eight-member Field Team headed by Mr Albert Bunoan. They are there present on campus to address any need our scholars may raise. Our scholarship program is the gold standard against which all scholarship programs are measured. SAS Ai is the purveyor of superior scholarship programs to SAS.

You can help us by sponsoring a scholar for the coming school year 2012. Again, as we have done over the past two years, we will recruit, process and qualify 12 scholars for 2012. The cost for one year per scholar is $525. You can also pay via a monthly $45 dollar allotment if that makes it easier on your budget using our very secure credit card (VISA, MC, DISC) acceptance application. You can use this link to go to the credit card acceptance application. Another way you can submit your gift is to write a check to SAS Ai Scholarship Fund and send it to our Treasurer:

  1. A very laudatory endeavor. All generous and loving people should support this project. I applaud the officers and members of this magnificent organization. For $1.50 a day, that's cheap to support an intelligent poor student to finish high school.

  2. In the Philippines the 2012 school term is fast approaching. I would like to invite everybody, SAS alumni or not, to help intelligent but financially handicapped students finish their high school education at SAS. All that is needed is a $2.00 monthly help from you. For details and how to be able to help please visit our websites: www.sastagudin.wetpaint.com; www.sasaiinc.org; www.sasaiinc.com.
